Biography



Nkem Owoh, fully named Nkem Owoh Nwabuoku, was born on the 7th of February, 1958 in his hometown, Udi Town in Enugu State, Nigeria.

He is a veteran comic actor who is widely known as Osuofia and he has made lots of impacts in the Nollywood industry.


He had both his primary and secondary education in Nsukka, Enugu State after which he proceeded to the University of Ilorin where he studied Electrical Engineering.

On the 7th of February 2022, Nkem Owoh (Osuofia) clocked 64 years on earth.

Wife
Nkem Owoh is married to his beautiful wife, Ngozi Nkem Owoh and the duo got married in the year 1998.

Children
Although Nkem Owoh prefers to keep the identity of his children away from the public, his fans were amazed when he showed up with his daughter at his re-endorsement deal with MTN. And yes, he has two beautiful daughters.

In his career of about 30 years in the Nollywood industry, Nkem Owoh has featured in over 200 movies. Even though he was still an undergraduate in the university, he featured a major role in the TV series “Things fall apart” which was written by Chinua Achebe.

He has gone ahead to feature in several other movies such as Ukwa, Kiss me quick, Fake doctor, Long John, Police officer, King of the forest, Osuofia in London, and so on.

Awards

His uniqueness in the style of acting roles in movies has earned him nominations for several awards some of which include the Lifetime Achievement Award (LTAA) at the African Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) in 2007, Best comic actor at the African Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) for his role in the movie “Stronger than Pain” in 2008 and Best actor in a comedy at the Africa Magic Viewers Choice (AMVC) award among others.

Nkem Owoh has sure amassed lots of wealth for himself. His major roles in Nollywood movies over the years have earned him so much money.
